About

Postscript is dedicated to creating an accurate representation of the Arts & Humanities division of Lamar School, while also providing a space for students to explore their creative identities, discuss their passions, and publish their masterpieces.

Started and designed in 2019 by Isabella Durgin, Postscript has been produced and updated by the Journalism class. Their articles and photography are featured throughout the Articles and Gallery divisions of Postscript.

Submissions to the Literary Magazine are welcome and encouraged from all students. We accept poetry, flash fiction, and personal narrative pieces. Students have the option of anonymity for any pieces included in the Literary Magazine if they so choose. To submit, please email postscript@lamarschool.com.

Postscript is proud to represent and strengthen the Arts & Humanities of Lamar School and its multifaceted students. We hope you enjoy reading and celebrating these stories of student life.

A Letter From the Editor

Hi Lamar! My name is Emily Cosby and Iā€™m your editor for Postscript this year. This is my fifth and final year at Lamar and I hope to leave behind a strong literary legacy for the class of 2024 to exceed. Postscript to me is an expression of our school's spirit and passion for tradition with a modern spin. As we continue to write about the traditions and histories of the school and publish them for all to read, I see an online history book of the school form with it. In recording everything from the latest student body obsession, to school sponsored activities that date back years, Postscript becomes a way to unite us all under the Lamar banner, and I'm excited to see where this year takes us.
