Just in Time for Christmas

I pick out my favorite holiday mug

as the snow outside begins to build

and my peppermint candle continues to burn.

I sit by the fireplace

with my blanket and hot cocoa,

watching the snow fall

and blanket the earth 

just in time for Christmas.

I wrap my final present

and top my Christmas tree

before going to enjoy holiday treats

and Christmas tales

with my friends and family.

We laugh and joke

about the eventful year,

forgetting all of our troubles

just in time for Christmas.

Christmas is a time

of jolly and joy

remembering what makes us thankful

and enjoying the happiness

that Santa and his reindeer bring.

to welcome feelings of delight

and rejoice about our blessings

just in time for Christmas
