Orange in a Different Perspective

My life has been filled with many colors, from black and red bad experiences to the joyful ones which portray yellow and white. One color that has always portrayed my life in a way is orange. Orange represents the good and the bad in life. It almost rides the middle between peaks and valleys in one life. Orange is the morning after a big loss in an important game, but is also the joy of a newborn baby. Orange is the death of a member of your family, but the bittersweet bondage between them due to the loss. Orange is the acceptance into your dream college, but then leaving everything you’ve ever known behind. Lastly, Orange is falling away from a lifelong friend.

Orange reminds me of the feeling of waking up and being sick, but you know that you are being taken care of. The feeling of a dry, sore throat being quenched by water, but also the sore throat that doesn’t go away after the sip of water. The feeling of wanting something so badly and knowing you will never get it, but then receiving something even better. Orange is the friend that seems to always have everything under control, but in reality their life is in shambles and they truly need help. Orange is getting your driver’s license and getting a nice car, but then wrecking it the next day. Orange is also waking up to freshly squeezed orange juice at your nightstand to only take a sip and realize there is pulp in it.

Orange tastes exactly how you would think it would. Orange tastes as sweet as candy to some, but as tart as a lemon to others. The taste of orange soothes the palate of many, but puts some in disgust. Perfectly balanced in flavor for many and tangy bitterness for some. Orange sounds like little children playing on the playground all day having fun just for their parents to take them away sobbing by the end. Orange represents the challenges and hardships that one must overcome in life, but also the joy that comes with completing them.

Orange represents a bright, beautiful tapestry that holds joy and wonder for many. Orange is the gorgeous color of the setting sun, which creates a panoramic view of vibrant orange colors that shows the end of a great day. With the sun setting, Orange begins to fear the darkness that creeps in the shadows. This darkness represents the challenges that will begin the next day. As darkness begins to take over, the once vibrant sky, orange shakes in fear due to the uncertainty of what is to come. Throughout the night, Orange, although scared of what might come, is resilient and escapes through the bad. As the night ends, Orange’s fear begins to fade as his beautiful color begins to slowly encroach back into the sky, showing that although he was afraid, he was able to stay and shine throughout the night.

All Orange wants in life is to be heard through the darkness and shadows, through the good and through the bad. He continues to shine brighter and brighter, just hoping for one change to shine his light on others and to be noticed. Orange represents the quest for fulfillment that many long for, but few actually attain. Orange understands that although he might not be everyone’s favorite and might not be the spark to some people’s fires, he will shine on others like nobody else has before. This understanding truly helps Orange understand how to better navigate his life. Orange wants be noticed by everyone, but has come to understand that in the long run, shining on the few that really matter is better than shining on everyone.
