To Make the World a Happier Place?

The world is a vast place. There are 7.8 billion people scattered all over the planet, and yet everyone has a different opinion on how to run the world. For some, it means ending racism or poverty. Those are both great things that would make the world a very happy place, but by following the Beatitudes, one can make a huge impact.

A very powerful beatitude to start with is “Blessed are those who mourn: for they shall be comforted.” In this world, people lose a loved one every day, and sometimes it's very hard to grieve. By just letting them know they are not alone they are comforted. Knowing others have gone through it too can raise their hopes and put a smile on their face.

Another beatitude that really stands out is, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” There are people on the earth who are very selfish. They lie, cheat, and deceive others. Those are the people who want everyone to fail. The people that try and enjoy life and are kind are the people who aren’t selfish. Those are the people who will inherit the earth and all its glory.

God has a plan for this world. We could make the world a happier place together, but everyone wants something different. The world will never be perfect, but by being kind and compassionate, everyone could be happier. That’s my motto. No one can be perfect, but if I was in charge, I’d strive to follow the Beatitudes to unite others and teach them to spread that philosophy all around the world.
