First Day Back

We knew the first day of school was going to be different, but not this different. All the students and teachers have to follow a certain protocol every day. As we walk in the double doors every morning, we have to get our temperature taken with our mask on. We have to wear masks at all hours of the day, unless we're eating lunch or break. We have to social distance in the classrooms, and try to sit six feet apart. Even at break and lunch, we have markers on the tables where we can sit. You have the option to stay in your 5th period class and eat there if you brought your own lunch. They want to keep the cafetorium very limited with the amount of people in there. Even when you are walking from class to class, you have to walk on one side of the hallway in a single file line, to keep the interaction and conversation down in the hallways. Two minutes before our classes end, we have to sanitize our desk and chair down for the next group of students entering the class. There are a lot of different ways we go through the school day due to Covid-19, but after three weeks of making these changes, we've gotten used to wearing a mask and practicing social distancing as much as possible.
