Spring Break? Woohoo!
Spring Break starts this weekend and Lamar Students, faculty, and staff could not be more ready. As the largest break in the second semester, this is a week of no morning alarms, no derivatives and integrals, and no 7+ hour-school days.
While Spring Break can be used as a week to vacation, spend time with family and friends, or even get ahead of the next quarter, it can also be used a week to relax and sleep. A week to wake up when you want and not have to do anything once you finally do wake up. For this article, I asked a few students about their Spring Break plans.
Caitlin Dial, Morgan Mitchell, and Rachel Daleo will be spending their Spring Break on the beach - a perfect place to rewind and get rid of all the stresses of life in Meridian. Katelyn Rainey will be enjoying a different scenery while she is skiing the slopes in Lake Tahoe. John Houston Gordy and Keimoni Ruffin will be living it up at Disney World for the week. Horatio Wilson is spending some time with his family in Tennessee and Anika Ravi will be spending a few days in New Orleans. While these students will be traveling throughout the week, Sam deGeneres, Seth Auzenne, and Madison Norris will be staying at home and catching up on the nine weeks of sleep they missed in during 3rd nine weeks.
Happy Spring Breaking!
